The company Electroputere VFU Pașcani, part of the Grampet group, has received the third favorable decision from the National Council for Solving Controversies (CNSC) regarding the contract for the supply of trams for public transport in Bucharest, initiated by the Bucharest Transport Company (STB) in 2019. CNSC established that STB must continue the awarding procedure and respect previous decisions, imposing a 10-day deadline for implementation. The CNSC decision confirms that the supplier from Russia, included in the initial offer, can be legally replaced without affecting the validity of the procedure. CNSC criticized STB's delay in signing the contract, emphasizing that the obligation to request an extension of the offer's validity rested solely with STB. Electroputere VFU Pașcani demonstrated that it has alternative suppliers who are not affected by economic sanctions, thus ensuring the capacity to deliver the trams. Grampet Group highlighted that STB's refusals to sign the contract were motivated by a lack of funds, and now, with the CNSC decision, the company is ready to start implementing the contract.
