The Bucharest Tribunal will discuss on Tuesday the request of the Bucharest Transport Company (STB) for insolvency, the case being registered last Thursday.

STB SA is mentioned as the debtor, and among the creditors are BMF Group Integrated Solutions SRL, Ramco SRL, Tinmar Energy SA, Electroputere VFU Pașcani SA, Romprest Integrated Services SRL, and Cleaning Servexpert SRL.

The General Mayor of the Capital, Ciprian Ciucu, stated that STB correctly applied for insolvency, emphasizing that public transport costs 34% of the Capital City Hall's budget. He highlighted that the debts and penalties accumulated by STB are so large that they equal the entire budget of PMB, making public transport in Bucharest financially unsustainable. The mayor believes that entering insolvency will prevent the accumulation of additional penalties and will help save the company.
