Electrocentrale București S.A. (ELCEN) has announced a temporary and controlled shutdown of the Grozăvești CHP, scheduled for the night of Sunday, August 16, at 10:00 PM, until Monday, August 17, at 12:00 PM. This measure is necessary due to the relocation works of the flow meter carried out by the company Apa Nova București, which will suspend the water supply between Sunday evening and Monday morning. ELCEN emphasized that the water source is essential for the chemical treatment process, necessary for obtaining demineralized water used in the heating circuit.
The shutdown has been scheduled during the period of lowest thermal energy consumption to minimize the impact on the residents of the Capital. The effects on consumers will be reduced, consisting of a temporary decrease in the hot water parameters on Monday morning, and ELCEN teams will resume the supply immediately after the completion of the works, ensuring a return to normal parameters by 12:00 PM.
