Dragoș Pîslaru announced the notification from the European Commission regarding the milestone of judges' pensions, waiting for the law to be promulgated in order to send the necessary evidence.

The Minister of Investments and European Projects, Dragoș Pîslaru, informed that he has notified the European Commission about the progress related to the milestone concerning judges' pensions. After the law is promulgated and published in the Official Gazette, the Romanian authorities will send proof of the fulfillment of this milestone as part of the payment request no. 3 from the PNRR.

Pîslaru emphasized that the promulgation of the law is imminent and that he is in direct contact to coordinate the sending of the necessary information. He also acknowledged a previous communication error when he stated that Romania had lost 231 million euros, specifying that, without evidence of promulgation, the subject would have been considered closed by the EC. Now, a response is expected in the first half of March.
