A 66-year-old man stabbed his 67-year-old wife and his 63-year-old sister-in-law in Bacău

On Monday morning, in Bacău, a double murder took place in the building where the victims lived. Authorities were alerted by a 62-year-old woman who notified the police. A complex investigation team, consisting of police officers and criminalists, led by a criminal prosecutor, was dispatched to the scene.

From the initial investigations, it was established that the 66-year-old man had stabbed his wife and sister-in-law, both of whom were deceased upon the arrival of the medical teams. After committing the act, the man attempted to commit suicide and was subsequently transported to the hospital for medical care. Police checks did not reveal a history of domestic violence in the case of those involved. Investigations continue under the coordination of the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Bacău Tribunal, with a criminal case opened for qualified murder.
