The National Cyber Security Directorate (DNSC) announced that cybercriminals are fraudulently using the identity of the interim Minister of Finance, Alexandru Nazare.

They are using the minister's identity to contact citizens and organizations through messaging applications, invoking professional or personal relationships and requesting help for various "procedures" or "actions" that require discretion.

DNSC experts emphasize that these attempts can be recognized by several signs, such as claiming that the sender is a public person, invoking a relationship of trust, and requesting sensitive information. To prevent fraud, it is recommended to verify the sender's identity, exercise caution in the case of unexpected messages, and report suspicious messages to DNSC.
