The National Anti-Corruption Directorate (DNA) launched searches on Tuesday morning at the former Minister of Transport, Răzvan Cuc, and at the director of the Romanian Auto Registry.

The investigation targets an illegal transaction related to a framework contract worth 23 million lei, of which the bribe would represent 6%. It is estimated that Răzvan Cuc attempted to offer a bribe of over 250,000 euros to obtain a dedicated contract. Both the former minister, who served during the period when the PSD was led by Liviu Dragnea, and the director of the Romanian Auto Registry will be brought to the DNA for hearings. Prosecutors will later decide whether to take action against them or continue the investigation in a state of freedom.
