The DN25, one of the most dangerous roads in Romania, will benefit from a significant modernization, with the aim of connecting the Moldovan highway with the Republic of Moldova. The contract signed provides for a €370 million investment from European funds, the biggest in Galati since 1989. The project includes widening the road, rehabilitating bridges and intersections, and relocating utilities, with an estimated completion time of 3 years. This upgrade is essential to improve road safety and facilitate transport in the area.
