The offer of natural fir trees for the holidays is varied in 2025, with a diversified range of shapes, sizes, and prices. The fir trees from Denmark are the most sought after due to their neat appearance and symmetrical crowns, with prices starting from 120 lei and reaching up to 14,800 lei for premium variants. Although the weather has been unfavorable, buyers continue to visit the markets, with preferences becoming increasingly clear for straight and lush fir trees. Romsilva will sell over 16,000 Romanian fir trees, providing a local alternative, yet 42% of Romanians still choose natural fir trees. The choice of the right fir tree depends on the available space and decor, and the freshness of the tree is essential. Flexible needles and a strong smell of resin indicate a fresh tree, while flexible branches and a straight trunk are signs of quality.
