Employees of the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection (DGASPC) Cluj will initiate a Japanese strike on June 11, dissatisfied with the provisions of the new salary law.

The "Unirea" Cluj Union has announced that the protest will last 24 hours, with employees wearing white armbands to avoid affecting the beneficiaries of social services. Union members emphasize that the new law does not reflect the complexity of work in social assistance, which involves constant interventions and responsibility.

The main grievances concern the reduction of bonuses and salary inequalities between employees in social assistance and those in the healthcare system. They demand recognition of their work, maintenance of bonuses, establishment of fair salary coefficients, and the opening of a dialogue with the authorities.
