Devastating fire in Vâlcea: a man dead, a woman rescued

On Saturday morning, the military firefighters from Vâlcea intervened to extinguish a fire in an apartment located on the third floor of a building in the locality of Alunu.

Upon the arrival of the teams, it was confirmed that a person, a man, was found lying in the street and was declared dead by the medical crew. At the same time, a search and rescue team was formed to locate and extinguish the fire, while 10 people from 6 apartments self-evacuated.

The firefighters managed to rescue a woman from the affected apartment, who was transported to the UPU Vâlcea.

Four gas cylinders were removed from the apartment, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
