Deputy Prime Minister Tanczos Barna has said that state-owned transport companies such as CFR are inefficient and loss-making, with debts to the state. He criticized the high salaries of executives as unsustainable and called for serious reform in these companies, which depend on public money. In contrast, he cited Hidroelectrica as an example of success, highlighting its significant contribution to the state budget. The director of the CFR Railways reacted, claiming that his salary exceeds €11,000 per month.
