The Bucharest Court of Appeal will decide on Wednesday on the request for judicial rehabilitation of the gangster Nubu Cămătaru.

The Bucharest Court of Appeal is set to issue a decision in the case of Nuțu Cămătaru, whose real name is Ion Balint, who requested judicial rehabilitation on March 6, 2025.

Nuțu Cămătaru was sentenced to five years and five months in prison for violent crimes, being released on March 12, 2019. He and his brother, Sile Cămătaru, were involved in criminal activities alongside other members of the clans in Bucharest, causing violent conflicts between 2008 and 2012. According to the law, rehabilitation can be obtained five years after serving the sentence, provided that no other crimes have been committed and civil obligations have been fulfilled.
