Contract for the arrangement of a roundabout on DN 6 in Lugoj in place of a dangerous intersection

DRDP Timișoara announced the signing of the contract for the execution of works to arrange a roundabout on DN 6, km 495+000, in Timiș County, at the intersection with Tapiei Street and DJ 680, in Lugoj.

This intersection is known to be dangerous, also nicknamed the "intersection of death," with numerous traffic accidents recorded over the years. The current intersection is of the "cross" type, and the separation of traffic directions is done only through road markings, which complicates access and favors congestion. Given the increase in traffic and the development of localities in the area, reconfiguring the intersection was essential to improve traffic conditions.

The association EBENS BLUE BAU S.R.L. & CML.RO S.R.L. won the auction with an offer of 3,747,926.73 lei excluding VAT, and the duration of the works will be 6 months, after the issuance of the start order.
