A conflict at the police station in Mehedinți led to the arrest of two men for assault and destruction.

The incident took place on November 10, around 9:30 PM, when the police were alerted to a possible conflict at the police station. A man hit the gate of the headquarters, and the quick intervention of the riot police and gendarmes prevented the escalation of violence. At the scene, police officers from the Criminal Investigation Service and the Public Order Service acted, supported by fighters from the Special Actions Service, who managed to immobilize the individuals involved.

Two men, aged 20 and 42, were detained for 24 hours and placed in the custody of the Mehedinți County Police Inspectorate. Authorities have opened a criminal case for assault and destruction, and investigations continue under the supervision of the case prosecutor from the Court of Vânju Mare.
