A man from Constanța was restrained after allegedly hitting a police officer during an intervention in a domestic dispute

A 35-year-old man from Constanța County was restrained and taken to police headquarters after allegedly hitting an officer and verbally abusing him during an intervention in a domestic dispute. The incident was reported at around 7:00 p.m.

Police were called to defuse a conflict between two people. At the scene, they identified two men, aged 72 and 35, who were father and son. According to Constanța Police, the son allegedly behaved aggressively when the officers arrived and allegedly hit one of them.

To restore public order, the man was restrained and transported to police headquarters, where legal procedures continued. In connection with the family dispute, the father refused to complete the risk assessment form.

Police explained to the man the rights provided by law in the event that a protection order is issued and handed him an application that he can submit to the court. The competent prosecutor’s office was notified to investigate the offense of assaulting a public official. The investigation is continuing to establish all the circumstances and determine the legally required measures.
