The Colentina Clinical Hospital will benefit from a new backup system for the thermal agent, the investment being estimated at 18 million lei, VAT included, according to the project approved by the General Council of Bucharest Municipality (CGMB).
The project provides for the establishment of a main source of thermal energy, connected to the city's district heating network, and an alternative source based on natural gas boilers. The backup solution includes the installation of three gas boilers, each with a power of 1,500 kW, and two heat exchangers of 1,000 kW for the production of domestic hot water. All equipment will be located in a building constructed next to PT Balș.
The General Director of the Administration of Hospitals and Medical Services of Bucharest, Iustinian Roșca, emphasized that this system will eliminate dependence on centralized heating, ensuring automatic supply in case of a shutdown of the centralized system. This solution is already implemented in most hospitals in Bucharest.
