The National Institute of Hydrology and Water Management has issued a Code Yellow warning on the risks of flash floods and local flooding on small rivers in Gorj, Mehedinți and Vâlcea counties. It is valid from Wednesday, July 23, at 21:00 until Thursday, July 24, at 12:00, as a result of weather forecasts and hydrometeorological conditions. Precipitation is expected, which may lead to significant runoff and increases in flow rates, with risks of exceedance of the warning levels. The population is advised to avoid areas at risk of flooding and to clean gullies around their homes.
