The National Institute of Hydrology and Water Management (INHGA) has issued a Yellow Code hydrological warning, valid from November 4 at 10:00 a.m. to November 5 at 12:00 p.m. Rivers in the counties of Olt, Teleorman, Argeș, Dâmbovița and Giurgiu are affected, with possible increases in flow rates and water levels that could exceed warning thresholds.
The warning applies to rivers in the Călmățui basin, the Vedea River—the upper basin and tributaries in the middle and lower basins—as well as the Neajlov River upstream of the Vadu Lat hydrometric station and its tributaries in the downstream sector.
INHGA advises people in the affected areas to exercise caution throughout the warning period. Residents are advised to avoid traveling near waterways, not to cross flooded areas and to follow the instructions of local authorities. Hydrological conditions will be monitored throughout the announced period, and the warning may be updated depending on how the situation develops.
