The technical incidents affecting the TollRo platform, identified on October 1, 2026, have been resolved, and the system is operating normally, CNAIR announced on Tuesday evening. The company warns, however, that sporadic failures may still occur.
Drivers who cannot pay the fee due to technical issues with the platform may begin or continue their journey without risking a fine. Failed attempts will be recorded by the system, and CNAIR will verify whether they were caused by technical failures or user errors. Those who did not access the platform at all but claim they tried to pay may be identified by querying the systems.
The TollRo fee can be paid through a route ticket, paid in advance, or through a billing session initiated in the mobile app. Payment can be made exclusively through the etoll.ro portal, the TollRo app, CNAIR points and authorized distributors, including by SMS. Bank transfers to CNAIR accounts do not count as payment of the fee. Amounts paid this way may be recovered based on an application and proof of payment.
