The National Company Bucharest Airports (CNAB) has announced a new infrastructure project aimed at improving road access to 'Henri Coandă' International Airport in Otopeni. The project involves the construction of an underpass of DN1, with the goal of facilitating the quick exit of vehicular traffic towards the Capital.
Currently, the project is in the feasibility study phase, which will analyze at least two technical-economic scenarios to identify optimal solutions for the underground passage in the southern part of the airport. The General Director of CNAB, Bogdan Mîndrescu, emphasized the importance of this investment for adapting airport infrastructure to the increase in air and urban traffic. The contract for the study, valued at 648,000 lei, has been awarded to GEBES MPROJECT. The project is part of a larger series of investments aimed at modernizing airport infrastructure and strengthening the role of Henri Coandă Airport as Romania's main air hub.
