The general mayor of the Capital, Ciprian Ciucu, stated that former mayors, especially those who led before Nicușor Dan, are responsible for the lack of hot water in Bucharest, caused by a malfunction at CET Sud. Ciucu emphasized that Nicușor Dan has made efforts to improve the heating system, managing to replace 30% of the primary network. He criticized the lack of annual investments in infrastructure, suggesting that if each mayor had allocated 1-2% of the budget for pipe replacement, the situation would have been different.

Ciucu promised to continue Dan's efforts and to replace the entire pipe system in the next ten years. He also explained that the malfunction at CET Sud, which belongs to the Ministry of Energy, has led to a critical situation, and activating the hot water boiler could worsen the existing problems.
