Dr. Alexandra Dobre, the founder of the National Institute for Active Aging, announced the opening, between January and April 2026, of the first multifunctional day center in Romania, dedicated to elderly people. This center will offer a wide range of services, including psychological counseling, legal advice, financial education, digitalization courses, and health services. Seniors will be able to benefit from assistance in pension planning, helping them to better understand their financial situation for retirement. The center will also organize social events and recreational activities, having a family doctor and specialists who will provide consultations. Initially, the center will operate based on donations, but if these are not sufficient, a modest fee of approximately 50-100 lei will be instituted to ensure the sustainability of the services offered. This initiative aims to respond to the needs of seniors and to improve their quality of life.
