At the PSD Congress, the Minister of Energy, Bogdan Ivan, launched a harsh attack on former PDL members, accusing them of leaving behind a disaster. Ivan mentioned former president Traian Băsescu and former prime minister Emil Boc, now a member of PNL, emphasizing that after 15 years, they want to return with the same methods and offer lessons on leading Romania.
He stated that PSD must focus on teams and collaboration, needing experienced people and young individuals to contribute to the country's development. The Congress also marked a change in doctrine, with PSD abandoning progressivism in favor of national, religious, and traditional values. Sorin Grindeanu is the only candidate for the party presidency, and the new leadership will include new names, while the old leaders step back.
