The National Trade Union Bloc (BNS) has addressed a letter to Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan requesting support for a 'new course' in European economic policy, which should reject austerity and prioritize investments. BNS emphasizes the need for a revised economic governance framework that allows member states to protect social protection systems.
The organization has made six proposals, including an investment plan for the development of economic production, strict social conditionalities for public funds, rejection of deregulation that affects labor standards, promotion of the 'Made in Europe' concept based on values, support for a Law on quality jobs, and recognition of the social model as a competitive advantage.
BNS believes that implementing these measures could provide Romania with resources for quality public services and a fair economy, which would contribute to improving living and working conditions for citizens.
