AUR, through its spokesman Dan Tanasă, announced that it will not participate in the consultations at the Cotroceni, considering them a farce, because the government is already established.

AUR spokesman Dan Tanasă said that the party will not take part in the Cotroceni consultations, on the grounds that they are just a "sinister masquerade", as they already have a government in place. He criticized the current political situation, saying that Romanians do not want this government and that AUR will vote against it. Tanasă stressed that Romanians are looking for stability and not for higher taxes or higher prices, and that the consultations are perceived as legitimizing a "coup d'état". AUR also refused to participate in previous consultations organized by President Nicușor Dan.
