The Alliance for the Union of Romanians (AUR) will launch on January 24, on the Day of the Union of the Romanian Principalities, the pilot program 'Back Home', aimed at Romanians in the Diaspora who wish to return to Romania. AUR representatives emphasize that this initiative comes as a reaction to the Romanian state's failure to maintain and support Romanians who have left abroad. Over 50 AUR parliamentarians will be present in Romanian communities in the Diaspora to discuss their needs and build a return strategy.

The program includes a unique counter concept for the Diaspora, which will provide concrete support regarding bureaucracy, job opportunities, children's education, and other aspects necessary for integration. AUR also takes on the management of cases of Romanians who wish to return, through a dedicated online platform, until the Romanian state creates an appropriate institutional mechanism. 'Back Home' is described as a political commitment, not just an electoral slogan, aimed at rebuilding Romania by bringing Romanians back home.
