People in Craiova, especially those in the Bariera Vâlcii neighborhood, are facing high levels of ash covering their streets and homes. Many locals are feeling discomfort from the air laden with coal particles, with some even going to hospital because of the pollution. The CET 2 thermal power plant is blamed for the ash emissions, although its representatives claim they were only temporary malfunctions.
