The National Authority for Energy Regulation (ANRE) has begun an investigation at Distrigaz Sud Rețele to look into the operator's involvement in the explosion on Calea Rahovei in Bucharest. Control teams are already on site to analyze the circumstances of the tragedy. The president of ANRE, George Niculescu, expressed his condolences to the victims.
According to the report, on October 16, after a report regarding the smell of gas, the supply service was halted, and the electrovalve was sealed. The next day, the crew discovered that the seal had been broken, and the explosion occurred immediately afterward. Distrigaz confirmed that the seal was broken and expressed compassion for the victims. ANRE continues the analysis to establish responsibilities and necessary preventive measures.
