The head of ANPC, Csaba Lajos Bekesi, announced that the institution is investigating the anti-C-section message boards in Bucharest, requesting the Corporate Transparency Foundation to clarify their veracity. ANPC focuses on advertising and information, checking whether the messages are supported by clear data and do not mislead consumers. Although ANPC recommended suspending the campaign, the foundation's president refused, asking for a postponement to present the supporting documents. If the messages are proven to be misleading, penalties may include fines and the cessation of the campaign. The foundation stated that it does not intend to stigmatize women who give birth by C-section, but to draw attention to the increasing number of such interventions without clear medical indications. The campaign will continue with public debates and televised appearances with specialists.
