The National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC) has conducted inspections at the national level, checking over 500 operators in the beauty services sector. Following these inspections, 306 fines were imposed, totaling over 1.22 million lei, and 283 warnings were issued. Additionally, the ANPC temporarily suspended the activity of 11 salons and halted the sale of products worth over 4,000 lei.
The identified irregularities include the provision of services in unauthorized salons, the reuse of materials without proper sanitation, the use of expired cosmetic products, and the lack of records for the sanitation of instruments. The president of ANPC, Ionel Cristinel Obretin, emphasized the importance of adhering to safety standards and announced that control actions will continue to protect consumer health.
