ANM announces heavy rain and strong winds in nine counties on Tuesday and Wednesday

The National Meteorological Administration issued two yellow warnings on Monday for nine counties in Dobrogea and Muntenia. Significant rainfall and strengthening winds are forecast for October 27–28.

The first warning is valid from October 27 at 10:00 a.m. until October 28 at 12:00 p.m. in the counties of Tulcea, Constanța, Călărași, Ialomița and Giurgiu. Meteorologists forecast rainfall totals of 20–30 liters per square meter over short periods and through accumulation, with isolated amounts potentially reaching 40 liters per square meter.

A second warning concerns strengthening winds in the counties of Buzău, Brăila, Ialomița and Călărași. It takes effect on October 27 at 4:00 p.m. and expires on October 28 at 10:00 a.m. In these areas, wind gusts may reach 50–70 kilometers per hour. Ialomița and Călărași counties are covered by both warnings.
