The National Phytosanitary Authority (ANF) recently published a report on the 'National Monitoring Program for Pesticide Residues' in fruits, vegetables, and cereals from domestic production.

According to the report, fruits had the most issues related to pesticide residues. Of the 914 fruit samples analyzed, 411 (45%) showed no residues, 499 (54.6%) had residues below the maximum allowable limit (MAL), and 4 (0.4%) were non-compliant, exceeding the MAL. The non-compliant samples included strawberries, peaches, pears, and apples. However, certain varieties of fruits, such as currants, blueberries, apricots, cherries, blackberries, nectarines, cantaloupe, plums, and table grapes, showed no issues related to pesticide residues.
