Andrei Caramitru, an analyst, expressed his concern on Facebook regarding the corruption and laziness of some high-ranking officials in Romania, whom he considers parasites of the state structures. He states that they are horrified by the emergence of normal, intelligent, and free people, perceived as an existential threat. His comments come in the context of the scandal generated by the statements of Oana Gheorghiu, the new Deputy Prime Minister, regarding the special pensions of magistrates, and the announcement by the CSM to file a criminal complaint against her. Caramitru emphasizes that these officials are disconnected from reality and represent remnants of the Ceaușescu regime, which makes Romania face a serious problem in its leadership.
