Anca Alexandrescu, the presenter from Realitatea Plus, reacted vehemently after the National Audiovisual Council (CNA) decided to revoke the station's license, stating that this is a manifestation of dictatorship. In a Facebook post, Alexandrescu emphasized that, although the fines have been paid, the CNA chose to block the station's broadcast, which will continue online until a court decision is made. In an interview, she accused that the purpose of this decision is to prevent the dissemination of messages from Călin Georgescu, the only one who could speak freely on this channel. Alexandrescu mentioned that Realitatea Plus has demonstrated that all fines have been paid and criticized the speed with which the decision was made, considering it an order from above. The CNA justified the revocation of the license by the non-payment of 28 fines from 2024, totaling 605,000 lei, which contravenes audiovisual legislation. Realitatea Plus, which obtained its license in 2013, began actual broadcasting in 2015, taking over the structure of the former Realitatea TV station, which was closed in 2019.
"Welcome to the dictatorship! Yes, it is true that the CNA has revoked our license even though all fines are paid (including those suspended by the court)! I told you they would do this! But we will not stop! We will contest in court and will continue to broadcast online!" Anca Alexandrescu wrote on her Facebook page.
