Romanian Waters announced that the interruption of drinking water supply in Prahova is the responsibility of the operator ESZ Prahova. The resumption of water supply to the population affected by the issues at the Paltinu dam will take at least another week.

The National Administration 'Apele Române' (ANAR) has communicated that the interruption of drinking water supply in Prahova is caused by issues generated by the operator ESZ Prahova. ANAR has resumed the flow of raw water to the Voila station, estimating that the supply to the population will be resumed within a maximum of one week. The rehabilitation of the clean water basin Lunca Mare, which is in the approval process, does not absolve ESZ Prahova of its responsibilities related to the proper operation of the supply system.

Additionally, ANAR emphasized that the issues at the Paltinu dam, which hinder the necessary interventions, could continue to affect the supply of raw water for up to six months. The authority has requested effective collaboration between the involved institutions to resolve the crisis.
