Salvamont Brașov has mobilized mountain rescuers in the Mălăiești area of the Bucegi Mountains, where a person suffered a fall and has a suspected fracture in a lower limb. The victim received first aid from the Salvamont Râșnov team, and the SMURD helicopter was dispatched to transport them to a medical facility. Authorities warn that, due to low temperatures, the path in the area is covered with ice, recommending that tourists move with caution and use appropriate winter equipment.

Additionally, the National Meteorological Administration has issued a warning for extremely cold weather, with temperatures potentially dropping to -20 degrees, icy conditions, and blizzard-like snowfall, while the National Institute of Public Health has provided recommendations for the population in this context.
