Following a traffic incident in June, Adrian Crăciun was involved in an accident in which, according to sources, he was caught driving under the influence of drugs. The police and the Prosecutor's Office in Baia Mare have not provided details about the investigation, citing its non-public nature. Crăciun stated that the accident occurred on June 6, 2025, and claimed that the injured person entered the roadway without ensuring safety. Although the rapid tests for alcohol and drugs were negative, the case is still under investigation. As a result of the incident, CJAS Maramureș modified his duties, and the director of the institution explained that the measure was taken because Crăciun no longer has the right to drive. Additionally, AUR announced that Crăciun has been suspended from the party and no longer holds any position within the Maramureș branch.
