A woman from Teleorman took her 4-year-old daughter to the hospital with serious injuries, and the police have launched an investigation for attempted murder.

A 20-year-old woman from Teleorman took her 4-year-old daughter to the Emergency Reception Unit of the Hospital in Târgu Jiu, where the girl was diagnosed with a severe head injury. The mother explained that the girl fell from the bed, but the explanation was not convincing to the doctors, who alerted the police.

The authorities began investigations, and the evidence collected led to the case being sent to prosecutors for attempted murder. The girl was urgently transferred to the Marie Curie Hospital in Bucharest, where she is hospitalized in intensive care, under the supervision of a complex medical team. The prognosis is reserved, and specialists from Forensic Medicine will determine the causes of the injuries. Investigations are ongoing, without suspecting another person yet.
