A 3-year-old girl died after the scooter she was riding on with her mother was hit by a motorcycle in Ialomița

A three-year-old girl died in a road accident on a road in Ialomița County. The child was riding on her mother’s scooter when the vehicle was hit head-on by a motorcycle.

The accident was captured by a surveillance camera in the area. According to initial information, the girl’s mother allegedly changed direction without making sure it was safe to do so, at which point the motorcyclist could no longer avoid the collision.

Paramedics who arrived at the scene attempted to provide first aid to the child, but her injuries were too severe, and the girl died.

The 22-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured and taken to hospital for medical care.

Police have opened a criminal case and are continuing their investigation to establish the exact circumstances of the accident and the responsibilities of those involved. The footage captured by the surveillance camera could contribute to the investigation.
