An 18-year-old young man from Craiova assaulted another teenager in the parking lot of a shopping center and fled, being later caught at Otopeni Airport.

An 18-year-old young man from Craiova is being investigated by the police for assaulting another teenager of the same age in the parking lot of a shopping center in Craiova, the incident occurring on January 9.

The victim reported to the police, stating that she was hit by another young man who immediately left the scene. The police managed to identify the assailant, establishing that he fled the country after the incident. Following a tip-off, the police were able to locate the young man at Otopeni Airport, where he was brought to the headquarters of the 5th Police Station in Craiova for questioning. After his detention for 24 hours, the prosecutors decided that he should be investigated under judicial control for a period of 60 days.
