An 18-year-old student on a trip to Dubova was found dead in the Danube.

An 18-year-old young man from Brașov was found dead in the Danube after disappearing from a guesthouse in the locality of Dubova, where he was on a trip with his colleagues. On Friday morning, his colleagues noticed that the boy was missing, and according to sources, he had gone out onto the guesthouse's pier to see the sunrise.

The Mehedinți County Police Inspectorate was notified, and search teams from the IPJ, Gendarmerie, Border Police, and ISU quickly intervened, conducting searches on land and on the Danube river. Unfortunately, the young man was found dead in the water. His body was transported to the Mehedinți Legal Medicine Service for an autopsy, and a criminal case for manslaughter has been opened in this case. The investigation continues to determine the exact circumstances of the death.
