A man was found dead in the Crișul Repede River in Oradea

A man was found dead on Tuesday evening in the waters of the Crișul Repede River, in the municipality of Oradea. A passerby spotted the body floating in the river at around 7:30 p.m. and alerted the authorities.
Two crews of military firefighters from the Oradea 1 Detachment took part in the intervention: one specialized in water search and rescue and another trained for swift-water rescue. The SMURD Oradea Mobile Intensive Care Unit crew and SMURD motorcycle paramedics also arrived at the scene.
The firefighters managed to bring the man to shore in approximately ten minutes. Doctors attempted to resuscitate him but pronounced him dead.
The circumstances in which the man ended up in the water have not been disclosed. The incident comes after, at the end of August, the National Institute of Hydrology and Water Management warned of a sharp rise in the levels of several waterways, including the Crișul Repede River sefullellevement?[
