The Brașov City Hall has started to produce artificial snow in the Postăvarul Massif.

The Brașov City Hall has announced that it has started the production of artificial snow in the Postăvarul Massif, taking into account the favorable weather conditions. The snow production system was activated on Saturday, and snow was generated for 4 hours, continuing without interruption since Sunday. Local authorities are working on creating snow deposits on the upper Lupului, Doamnei, Kanzel, and Ruia slopes. The optimal temperature for producing artificial snow is between -2 and -4 degrees Celsius.

Although efforts are being made to open the ski season, it is not yet known exactly when the slopes will be opened, but it is hoped that, if the weather permits. The rates for skiing in Poiana Brașov for the 2025-2026 season have also been announced, with prices of 220 lei for adults and 120 lei for children.
