Captain Santi Cazorla has signed a one-season extension with Real Oviedo, the club where he trained and returned in 2023.

Santi Cazorla, 40, has extended his contract with Real Oviedo for another season. The former Spain international, who returned to his training club in 2023 from Al-Sadd, recently scored in the La Liga play-off final. Although he trained at Oviedo between 1996 and 2003, he has never played in La Liga for the club. Cazorla will remain tied to the club until the end of next season.
