Romania's Superliga: Željko Kopić has left Dinamo

Dinamo has announced the separation from Zeljko Kopic. The Croatian coach has prepared the "dogs" for the last 3 years. The club stated that the separation occurred by mutual agreement, after both parties reached the conclusion that it is time for a new challenge.

Football, like life, is made up of events, feelings, and experiences, and the most beautiful of all remains the moment of achievements.

Arriving at Dinamo in December 2023, at a critical moment for the club, Zeljko Kopic has worked tirelessly to bring the team back to where it belongs. Together with his staff and the support of the club, he managed to keep Dinamo in the top football league.

Furthermore, he succeeded in bringing Dinamo back to the Superliga play-off after a 7-year break, and in the recently concluded season, the sports progress was once again visible through the semi-final of the Romanian Cup, qualifying for the play-off, and finishing in 4th place in the national league.

During the two and a half seasons, Zeljko Kopic has accumulated an impressive number of 112 official matches on the team's technical bench, thus ranking in a select top of the longest-serving coaches in the history of our club.

Today, our paths are parting, both parties mutually agreeing that a new challenge is needed.

The Dinamo club sincerely thanks Mr. Kopic for all the work done on the club's bench, for all the contributions made in bringing Dinamo back to the top of Romanian football, and we wish him much success in his future coaching career.
