Three gold medals and one silver for Romania at the Central European Informatics Olympiad

Between July 5 and 10, 2026, in Ljubljana, the Central European Informatics Olympiad took place, where Romania shone through the performances of its young informaticians. The national team managed to bring home three gold medals and one silver medal, thus demonstrating their excellent level of preparation and competence. This achievement highlights not only the individual talent of the participants but also the efforts of the Romanian educational system in the field of informatics.

The awarded students are: Victor Ioan Dobra, 11th grade, "Lucian Blaga" National College Sebeș, gold medal; Rareș-Andrei Neculau, 12th grade, "Vasile Alecsandri" National College Galați, gold medal; Mihai-Valeriu Voicu, 12th grade, International Theoretical High School of Informatics Bucharest, gold medal; Andrei-Paul Iorgulescu, 11th grade, "Tudor Vianu" National College of Informatics Bucharest, silver medal.
