The Romanian women's national handball team achieved a convincing victory against Austria, with a score of 37-28, in a friendly tournament, marking their third success in as many matches, following victories against Portugal and the Czech Republic. The team coached by Ovidiu Mihăilă started the match with good control, although Austria managed to stay close in the first half, which ended with a minimal advantage for Romania, 20-18.
In the second half, the 'tricolores' clearly dominated, winning 17-10. Sorina-Maria Grozav was the most efficient player, scoring 11 goals. The Romanian goalkeepers had 15 saves, with Bianca Curmenț having the best percentage. In the tournament standings, Romania occupies the first position, followed by Portugal, the Czech Republic, and Austria. The team is now preparing for the World Championship, where they will face Denmark, Japan, and Croatia.
