Roberto Mancini, former coach of Italy between 2018 and 2023, announced that he is leaving the Al-Sadd team in Qatar, where he coached only 16 matches.
His departure comes in the context of speculation that he could take over the position of coach of Italy again, vacant after Gennaro Gattuso's resignation.
Mancini, at the age of 61, led the Italian national team to victory at Euro 2021, but suffered a major disappointment by failing to qualify for the 2022 World Cup, which led to the end of his tenure.
The Al-Sadd club thanked him for his contribution and wished him success in his future challenge, leaving open the possibility of future collaboration.
