Novak Djokovic's reaction after the defeat in the first round of the US Open: "I practically hated every moment spent on the court"

Novak Djokovic was eliminated in the first round of the US Open, on Sunday, against the Argentine Mariano Navone (7-6, 5-7, 4-6, 6-2, 6-1), at the end of a match in which he suffered physically a lot. 

"I think it was obvious that I had an awful feeling on the court. It is a problem I am facing, unfortunately, in almost all my matches this year. You know, vomiting, heaviness... it is a real problem. Then, my whole body starts to give in: cramps, pains... My back gave in last, as did my shoulder, and I couldn't finish the match. I had a break lead in the fourth set, but I struggled throughout the match, starting from the fourth game. Once again, I don't want to minimize his victory. Congratulations to him. He's a tough guy, a fighter. But, you see, it didn't please me. I practically hated every moment spent on the court. But from the audience's and the support's point of view, it was incredible, honestly, right from the start. They tried to support me in the important moments, and I feel very bad that I didn't play as well as I should have, could have, or wanted to for them. But the love and affection they showed me at the end truly moved me," said Novak Djokovic after the defeat suffered in the first round of the US Open.
